ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

The Environmental Services Department ensures a safe and healthy Maricopa County through restaurant inspections, monitoring of drinking water, waste disposal, swimming pool inspections, and vector-borne disease control.

MCESD PERMIT DROPBOX HAS MOVED

The Environmental Services Department permit dropbox and the office located at 501 N. 44th Street are permanently closed. The dropbox for paper plans is available to customers at our new location: 301 W. Jefferson St., Suite # 170, Phoenix AZ, 85003.

Please remember you can also submit an application electronically to our Department by following the steps outlined on our Permits, Forms, and Applications page.

For nearly 65 years, Maricopa County Environmental Services Department has been working with our community to ensure a safe and healthy environment. Maintaining a healthy environment improves quality of life and seeks to prevent exposure to mosquito-borne diseases and hazardous substances in food, water, and soil. Using education and innovative methods our Environmental Health professionals take proactive steps to protect the more than 4 million residents of Maricopa County and its visitors.
