COVID-19 Studies

There are many organizations researching COVID-19 and potential treatments, and these studies often need individuals who have tested positive to participate. Below is a list of studies we are aware of. Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) is not affiliated with any of these studies nor do we endorse them, and participation is entirely voluntary and between the individual and the research organization.

Arizona CoVHORT Study
The University of Arizona
This study is what we call a longitudinal cohort study of COVID-19 (hence, CoVHORT) in Arizona. That means we will study and compare two groups; the first is people who had COVID-19 and the second is people who didn’t. We will follow these groups over time to see how COVID-19 has affected their health and well-being.
