If you are constructing a new food establishment in unincorporated Maricopa County (See Map) you are encouraged to call 602-506-3301 before beginning the permit process.
Get Prepared.
Know what type of permit application you need to complete. Need help with this? Review the guide on permit types.
Make sure you have your construction plans/schematics (layout, equipment, plumbing, etc.) available if submitting for new construction or a remodel/review.
Know what other required documents you'll need to provide. These are listed on the permit applications, provided in step 2.
Have your contact information, owner & property information handy.
Know your project's plan review/application fees by reviewing the fee schedule.
If you would like to set up an appointment with a plan review inspector, at no cost to you, to discuss your construction project prior to submittal, please contact us via email. Please provide the address of the project location so that we can better serve your needs.

Fixed/Permanent Food Establishment (New Construction/Major Construction/Major Remodel or Minor Construction/Review or Taking Ownership of an existing/previously permitted food establishment or Sharing Space/Adding an Additional Permit to your existing food establishment)
If you are purchasing a currently/previously permitted food establishment and are interested in receiving a punch list of items that need to be addressed for your location to qualify for a permit, then an Inspection Upon Request is right for you. The fee is $240/permit/location.
