Preparation is critical to the success of your submittal. Are you ready to choose the right Application Type for your project? Do your documents meet EDR Requirements? Save time by taking the time to understand the rules of the road.
Initial Submission
Navigate to the Online Permit Manager to make your initial submission. Here you will complete the 7 Steps to submit for your EDR application. During these steps you will also upload your documents for review.
Digital Counter Review
After Application Submission, our Digital Counter staff check your documents against minimum submittal requirements and EDR document requirements. Most building permits will require applicants to re-apply if their documents don’t meet EDR requirements.
Pay Fees
Most building permits pay their fees After Application Submission, once the Digital Counter has accepted your documents. You will receive an automated email directing you back to the Online Permit Manager to pay your upfront fees.
Technical Review
Technical Review only begins After your documents have been accepted by the Digital Counter and your upfront fees have been paid. It is important to note that more than one cycle of technical review may be necessary for some projects.
Permit Issuance
After all divisions of Technical Review are approved, a final Quality Control check is performed. You will be notified of any outstanding fees due. Once all fees are paid, the permit is issued. You can then download the approved plans and permit from the Online Permit Manager. Then construction and inspections may begin!
