Major Corridor Projects
A corridor project involves the design and construction of roadway improvements along multiple segments of an arterial roadway. These roadway improvements could include widening, signal installation or upgrade, safety improvements or drainage improvements. Corridor projects are typically designed and constructed in phases over a period of time.

Corridor Projects

Pavement Management
MCDOT’s Pavement Management Program directs its pavement preservation process to help prolong the life of County roadways.

Transportation Improvement Program
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) contains planned roadway system improvements for new or improved roadways, bridges, drainage structures, intersection improvements, Intelligent Transportation Systems and more.

Deer Valley Road
The Deer Valley Road project is constructing an east-west arterial crossing the Agua Fria River. The project widens and extends Deer Valley Road and Williams Drive across the Agua Fria River from El Mirage Road to 109th Avenue.

Peoria Avenue
The Peoria Avenue project is to determine the improvements needed to address future capacity needs; drainage needs connecting to SR 303L; and access management along the corridor.

Pinnacle Vista
The Pinnacle Vista project is to determine the improvements needed to address the current roadway conditions of Pinnacle Vista between 40th Street to 46th Street.

Lower Buckeye Road
The Lower Buckeye Road project is improving the roadway between 71st Avenue and 67th Avenue.

Sun Lakes Pavement Rehabilitation
MCDOT will be doing a pavement rehabilitation project in Sun Lakes beginning in early April and will run through July 2022.

Vulture Mountains Recreation Area
The project, in conjunction with the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department, is constructing a controlled park entrance and paving park roads at the Vulture Mountains Recreation Area.
